SCI-Arc Japan Studio 2015

Thermodynamic Tokyo meets Olympic Venues for this year's Japan Studio. This studio challenges not only the normal architectural design methodology, but it also challenges the standard design for an Olympic architectural venue. What happens when you design a building purely in terms of environmental and thermodynamic forces and then couple that with a diffuse series of satellite venues instead of building a gigantic stadium? The following images are from the Final Tokyo Presentations and also the Midterm Presentations and show the results.
